Need help finding the title to a song

I just heard this song on the radio...

It was a girl singing ... rock style. I don't remember the lyrics but the story is about a 'punk rocker boy' who gets ignored by the girl that he likes and then later on he becomes famous and that girl that he liked goes to his concert.

Any help?

i just saw a movie commercial/MTV interview or some quick clip with her. She was kinda cute in a punky sorta way.

it's spelled different than that, i think it's sk8r boi or something close to that
