Need help finding SATA drivers.

Finally got a sata hd for my pc. So I need to get the sata drivers on a floppy so I can install XP. The only thing I could find on the cd rom was a file that was an .exe. I don't want to install it. I want to get the drivers on a floppy so I can install later.
I also tried the website but the only SATA file is named

Intel IAA RAID driver provides support for SATA RAID mode on supported chip with ICH5R/ICH6R

And it's ~14.5 MB

Anyone know where i can get the correct files.

If you search on the mobo CD I am sure it is on there. Here is a Link
to Intel's site for the driver. DOn't forget to hit F6.

Edit: on your link it has ICH5r Diskfile for OS. That is what you need to download.

so, i don't have to have mobo specific drivers? These adaptecs will work fine?

You can use the ones from the Intel site, but I would use the ones on your Gigabyte link.

Can you take a look at the link in my post? The SATA file is the second one on the list that is named Intel IAA RAID driver provides support for SATA RAID mode on supported chip with ICH5R/ICH6R, correct?

I just want to extrac tthe files. It will only give me the choice to install it. When it does it goves me som error saying the driver I am trying to install is incompatible with my hardware?????????????//
In the release notes here is the supported controllers.

The Intel(R) Application Accelerator is designed to provide
functionality for the following Storage Controllers:

- Intel(R) 6300ESB SATA RAID Controller
- Intel(R) 82801FR SATA RAID Controller
- Intel(R) 82801FR SATA AHCI Controller
- Intel(R) 82801FBM SATA AHCI Controller
- Intel(R) 82801ER SATA RAID Controller

SO something isn't right.

Deos anyone have this mobo and can tell me which file to extract off of the cd (or if you can find it on their site)?

You want to download the 3d one in the Raid driver tab.
