Yesterday I had problem finding contact for bank corp, thanks to Rossman I resolved it. My uncle have been living in US for 4 years as legal resident, he got his temporary greencard 2 years ago and after that he should of received permament via mail. He been going to INS federal building every 2 month to check status of his case, each time he gets an answer its in process, he tried speaking with supervisors 0 result. Now he been waiting for green card for 2years with same processing result from INS. We wrote letters to INS processing center and senator and other people 0 result as well. He needs to go to his native country to fix his mothers grave stone & get vascular surgery on his leg, in december he filled out application and send out money order for travel passport to INS, he still have not received. At this point he asked me for help but I dont know what to do. I wanna try to speak with someone in INS in DC, cause in NY supervisors give same response when he comes in for 2years already. Thanks

IMO, the INS is the epitome of government red tape and is the toughest to find someone who cares and at the same time, finding someone who is able to do more than take your application and fling it into the "to process" bin. That contact info leads to nothing more than an automated "Thank you for calling" response manned by a live operator. Good luck, Wduaqnug. I've felt your uncle's pain.

To obtain Advance Parole (travel documents) he can physically go to the INS office with his forms in hand and a notarized letter stating the reason for his trip. (most, although not all INS offices allow the filing of AP in person..)
Generally they will try to approve AP within two weeks in such cases.
Has his temporary Green Card expired ?
Regardless, make sure your Uncle does not leave the US without either a current Green Card or AP.. because if he doesnt have one or the other they wont let him back in.
Then there is the possibility of him being classed as 'out of status' and he could face a 10 years ban on entering the US.

Go to your congressman's office and lay it on the table. They can cut through 3 years of red tape in 5 minutes.

I say this because I have been there and done that.

HappyPuppy thanks for advice

I called several people in DC responses were basically telling me to go back to field office, I called my district senators he told me to go to congressman office who handles federal agencies. I called district office to make sure they open and that they handle INS problems, assistant of congressman was very friendly he has direct contact in nebraska processing center( I called all morning to that center and it was busy all day) he called his contact directly at the center, she said she will mail travel passport today and that his greencard is laying in national records center, she will request sent back to nebraska center she will process it and mail it out. So his contact is definetly good. INS IS HUGE MESS, I dont know what they do there

The INS is a joke, they took over 1.5 years to process my wife's finacee VISA to get married in the USA and become a US citizen (she's from Australia). After so many screw ups and excuses, I said fsck it, flew down to Australia with my immediate family, got married there, went to the US Consulate in Sydney, did the paperwork there, 2 months later she arrived in the USA.
