Got a P3 700Mhz from AC MICRO and went to attach my Alpha heatsink to the slotkit and the tap broke. Thank goodness it broke on the side with two tabs so I can still use it at stock MHZ without having any heat issues. Contacted the vendor and they never have contacted me back to replace this one. So I need a good slotkit and am having no luck finding a good one at a good deal. Also wonder if there are any slot kits that are "reversed" so that the socket is on the "other" side of the slotkit if that makes any sense?

If what you mean by 'reversed' is a socket 370 to slot 1 adapter, then I seriously doubt it. There is really no reason to buy peripheral hardware that will enable you to use older, and lower performing processors.
The only slotKETs on the market are slot1 to socket 370. Abit, asus, msi and soltek all make some very deasent ones to be had for around $20-30 including shipping. Stay away from all generic sh|t! The last thing you want to do is compromise the performance of your rig by slapping some sheap crap between the mobo and the CPU. Which one you choose is up to you, but I would suggest that if you have a mobo of the these brands, then stick with the brand for greatest compatibility.

What I meant and this might make more sense is that instead of the cpu socket on the slot being on one side so that when it is mounted on the MB that it covers one of the memory slots that it be mounted on the other side of the PCB on the slot so that for me it would not cover that extra memory slot when using a massive HSF to overclock.
