Hi all. Im trying to overclock my 1900XTX and coming up short in one way or another every time. While using the 6.6 drivers the CCC wont let me go above 689 core and 792 mem and has no fan control either...so that sucks. ATI tool just sucks because i cant find any fan control at all and the newest version just seemed to give me a clock reading of 25mhz and was rediculous. ATI Tray Tools is my favorite one but the newer releases dont support overclocking with 1X00 models of cards but have great Fan tweaking and excellent graphics tweaking such as the D3D lag fix. Rivia tuner is ok, but the fan option went away the 2nd time i loaded it up and i dont know how to get it back. Anyone know a GOOD program to do such or a way to fix ATI Tray Tools? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You;ve named them all. ATI Tool is the best because it allows voltage control on top of everything u listed. However, it gives me incorrect clock speeds as well and also says my primary video device is not supported.

I just max out CCC at 690/800 and leave it at that.

thanks, but ATI Tool just doesnt seem to have the fan option available. Can you tell me which version to use and how you got the fan option to display? Please?

ATI Tool Beta 14 (I think its version 0.25 or something).

After you install it, go to settings at the lower right hand corner.

Once you've clicked on that there should be a selection bar at the top with "Fan Control" listed in it.

Have at it.

My apologies for being rude. You saying that ATI Tool sucks and me being super tired isn't a good combination.

Thank Josh for giving the correct info. The Official ATI Tool 24 doesn't support the X1000s cards and you have to go w/ the 25 beta14 to get what you're looking for.

Awesome...well it has the fan controls in ATI tool now and overclocking...except one more thing. It freezes up my PC if i go above 627 core, which is rediculous because the default is like 650mhz core. Maybe its because i have ATI overide on too? i dont know how to "re-lock" it or maybe its try to clock the 2D clock up that high. How can i fix this problem?

Thanks.

You need to disable both ATI Services that are running (HotKey Poller and can't remember the other's name). Having both the ATI OverRide and ATI Tool running at the same time can mess things up.

1. Right-click onto the My Computer Icon and left-click onto Manage
2. Click onto Services
3. Right-click onto ATI Hotkey Poller and left-click onto Properties
4. Change start-up type to 'Disabled' and hit okay
5. Do the same to the service below ATI HotKey Poller(it should be another ATI but I can't remember it's name)
6. Reboot

Also, you might want to check your volts because ATI Tool gives a default of really low voltages.

whats a good voltage to use?
I want to OC to around 700 Core, 850 Mem...
I hope its the voltages because the core maxed out at 604 which is below the default!
