guys, i've been searching everywhere for a men's trenchcoat to wear in the spring/summer. it really has to be made with the lightest material for summer wear. i saw one years ago (Armani) made of cotton or silk (i forget) and it was just perfect. unfortunately, i didnt want to drop $900 on it at the time. 🙁

now i cant find one anywhere. can you guys help? should be black and cost is not an issue 🙂

Who the hell wears a trench coat in the summer? What part of the country do you live in?

my neighbor does.

he's a super nice guy and we hang out all the time, but idk why he insists on the whole goth thing. it's a huge turn-off to see a guy in his late 20's walking around with a black leather trench coat year-round, black nail polish, shoulder-length black hair, etc... I know coworkers talk shit about him behind his back, just seems stupid to me.

to actually answer the OP, though... what about a plain cotton trench with a removable lining?

You may not find it in any designer stores because trenchcoats aren't really part of the summer lineup. When you say trenchcoat, are you looking for ones for business?

I have a rather impressive collection of trench coats. You see, I wear them in a weekly rotation. This way, people who see me on a regular basis don't think that I have only one trench coat. It's basically a way for me to say "hey, I have seven different trench coats" without actually saying it. I've found that by wearing different coats, people tend to treat me with reverence. I would recommend that you do the same, although you shouldn't expect the *exact* same results. I am, after all, one of humanity's elite. Everyone knows this.
