Yes, I think the 4200ti is the best bet. It can run GTA-Vice City @ 10x7 resolution no problem at all. Or you can do what Bling Bling suggests, and get a 4400ti or 4600ti(one of the best cards of it's day) off ebay, if you don't mine taking a chance on used video card.

That's the one I mentioned earlier. 3B Tech has a pretty good reseller rating. look here. I have always been a big fan of the 4200ti. I think it's a much better choice over the MX4000 or FX5200. Just my 2 cents.

I agree that the 9800SE is a better card than the 4200ti, but I don't think he wants to buy a refurb'd card and a new 9800SE is $99.00, which is way over his budget.

A Radeon 9100 can be had for about $20 used, 2 years ago it was about $40 new. It performs anywhere from 50% to 100% faster than an FX5200, even though its only DX8 and 128mb. The extra ram is useless on that card, you would be better off saving cash and getting a 128.

But... the ram looks good to the computer illiterate buyer. :beer:
