Need help figuring out a magic trick!

My coworker did this. Everything was done infront of me, no close your eyes or sleigh of hand (none that I saw).

1) He took the whole deck, shuffled it. Fanned the first 10 or so cards infront of me.
2) Asked me to pick a card and just tell him the position.
3) I picked the card at the 4th position.
4) He closed the deck. Then he started placing cards from the top on the table. The fourth card is obviously my card. He stopped there. 5) Picked the fourth card and put it in the middle of the deck, just a random place. The other 3, he put underneath the deck.
6) Following some abracadabra stuff, he picks the top card, and its mine.

But how? He put my card in the middle. Can't figure this one out.

But seriously, if there were only 10 card then it is not hard to memorize where that card is and then mix it up to the top in a seemingly random way. It just takes practice.

the card he stuck in the middle of the deck wasnt yours. ppl who do card tricks have very fast hands and it is easy to fool the eye. your card was kept on the top the whole time!

Well, the whole point of sleight of hand is that you don't see it

I saw someone bend a card a little, so you saw it's in the middle of the deck. Than right before my eyes, it somehow ended up on top right away. I don't know how he did it. I still want to know.

when he placed cards onto the table the 4th card was not your card, just took the card underneath it instead, its not that hard to do just gotta practice a little

I hate figuring out magic tricks.

I prefer to let people show them to me so I can be impressed by their skills at sleight of hand.

Every time I've figured out a magic trick I get disappointed by how painfully silly the reality is.

easy, you say 4th card
he takes 1st/2nd/3rd card off the top, and by sleight of the hand, 4th off the bottom. and yours is still on top.

No, he took the next card, not from the bottom. I was looking. I can do a couple of magic tricks myself, so I know what to look for.

he may be in league with the devil, monitor he activities if he suddenly becomes rich or begins to dominate the world..then you will know for sure...otherwise he may just be a real good magician
