Im totally new to linux and I want to download mandrake8. So I went to the mandrake ftp site and I dont have a damn clue what to download. Can anyone help?
thanks,
-doug
download the .iso file and burn it to a cd. i believe mandrake now has 2 .iso files. if youre not sure which ones to download go to http://www.linuxiso.org. they have them labeled a little better.
If I'm not mistaken (haven't used mandrake in a while) the 2nd cd is completely optional, so if you're on a slower connection you can skip it. I remember downloading the Redhat ISO over a 33.6 modem a few years back. Thank God for resumable FTP!!! 😉
