hi guys.
i got one PC and one laptop here
both have a NIC and i am wanting to setup a network for it
but how to i get started??
have no idea at all 🙁
i am using Win2K Pro. on both computers

any suggestion??

Also HomePCLAN is another good website... Remember if you are connecting the 2 PCs directly without any hubs/switch in between, you need to use a crossover cable instead of a normal CAT5 patch cable...
 
First you should go buy a server, prferably a dell poweredge. Second setup the new server as a domain controller. Setup your dhcp scope, use rras for internet access and then get exchange 2000 and setup your email server. Then you should realize that there are about 8 million posts on how to network 2 computers on this board. Instead of making a new thread, go read the old ones. As a senior member you'd think they would stop asking questions like this.
