need help dling in irc please....

im new to irc, so im using an irc search, then pasting the send command.
it says....

DCC Send from ISOZ-008 rejected (filename.tar, file type ignored)
ISOZ-008- *** Sending You Pack #2 Which Is 1.6GB. (Resume Supported)
SOZ-008- *** You have a DCC pending, Set your client to receive the transfer. (150 seconds remaining until timeout)

then it goes to 90 to 30 and then closes.what am i doing wrong?

what irc client are you using? i'm guessing mirc. it blocks some file types you have to go into the options and turn the options off. just look around it should be obvious when you see it

turn off blocking, turn off resuming blocking after so and so minutes, if still doesnt work turn on auto receive

Open up MIRC, go to File > Options > DCC > Folders. Where it says 'DCC ignore' set that to disabled and take the check out of 'Turn ignore back on in:". Click Ok.

Common error in ignoring filetypes. figure out what filetypes you commonly accept (*.nfo, *.r??, *.sfv, *.txt, *.rar) and edit permissions.

Also, don't download illegal things, only freeware.
