Need help disabling something

how do i disable a kernel debugger I am trying to install dameon tools because I back up some of my DVD movies on my laptop Hard drive so I can watch with out DVD disc . And it wont install because it says it needs kernel debugger disabled to install
I am using Windows xp

Perhaps if folks didn't have to guess if you are using NT, 2K, XP, or even Linux, maybe someone would be willing to punch into Google

And if you have a legal copy of the DVD, why is it so hard to run with the DVD in?
