Hi,

I am working in a class project in which I am supposed to design a network, so I was wondering if you guys knew of really good websites that I could go to, to get some information and examples on how to build a network

thanks for the info,

Have you done a search at Google or Yahoo for network design?

Other then that, what kind of network do you have to design?
How many computers?
Is there a server, or is it only Peer-to-Peer?
Wired or wireless?

Lots of things to consider!

It is a LAN for a school. I have done a search in google, but I haven't come up with very good links. There are 3 IDFs and a maximum of 4 drops of cable per classrooms. The standard classroom should have about 24 hosts. I am thinking about having a router in the MDF and two switches connected to an ethernet port. I am thinking about having wireless only where it is needed, such as in the library. There are a some servers in the desgin. I have a DNS, Email, and Application server.

thanks for the info,
