a newbie in need!
well i tried this on thg and didn't recieve any responses. after reading posts here it seems as though there are a few more well informed minds belonging to this forum. so here goes,
a7n8x deluxe
radeon 9700 pro
corsair twin pc3200 xms
maxtor 80gig 8mb cache
athlon xp ????

i am primarily a gamer and getting into overclocking. also do some digital imaging. i am considering the 2500+ barton, 2600+ 333mhz, and 2700+ 333mhz. 2800+ barton and tbred has been thought about but is priced a little high. which one has greatest stability under overclocking, best price performance ratio, etc.. i appreciate all responses and please justify your thoughts so i can try to make a well informed decision.
thank you

probably xp2100+ AIUHB Tbred B core would be the best price/perf ratio...

oc's like hell...granted you dont use stcok cooling and knwo waht you are doing...heh
are you planningon buying an aftermarket heatsink+fan?

either that..or you could look into a JIUHB tbred b 1700+...they are also cheap and have a pretty good oc rate

search for xp2100+ or 1700+ here and you wil find numerous threads with many success stories

i have a xp1700+ @ 1.8ghz on an old skool a7v lol
antoher has it at 2ghz +....but with quite a bit of voltage...

peraonally..i leave it at 1.7ghz at stock voltage hehe

I'd give it a few weeks before buying any of the Bartons. See how well they overclock first. Who knows, the 2500+ may be able to hit 2.4ghz 😀 (crosses fingers)

For price performance the 2100 t-bred b is the one. Get a good stepping - if you do you will see over 2200MHz. You will need a good heatsink like the slk-800.
Those other parts look great. You are going to have a very fast system.
Make sure you have a very good brand power supply, and at least 350W.
