Which monitor did you end up getting?

If you go over to the widescreen video gaming forum, they have numerous postings about LCD settings for most of the popular models.

o yeah, I went with the nec listed above. Cool thanks for the tip.
Hopefully everything arrives in one piece and in perfect condition.

ok...they seem to not have the item in stock. How can they say on the site they have it and change there mind later. They didnt bother to tell me until I emailed asking why hasnt my item shipped--grrrr. They did give me a 10 dollar cirtificate. I guess, I will always go with newegg.

Oh man! That changes everything!

I thought QFT was "quit ****ing talking"... But gee, yours makes everyone seem a little less mean.

LOL!

When I first joined the forums, I thought QFT meant "Quit ****ing Talking" too!

As much as QFT is used, I bet we all sounded like @$$holes to you.

Yeah, good choice on the NEC.

It's on a far higher plateau of quality than any 22" TN could ever dream to be.
And btw, for a TN, that LG is extremely good.

But considering that NEC is quite possibly the best overall LCD in existence, i'd go for it 😀

thanks. I had to pay 100 more for it 🙁 But it will be here today, hahah order yesterday and its here now. I love living close to the warehouse--too bad everything doesnt ship from it. Ill report back and let ya know what I think.

I didnt go with the LG cause my friends stated they make cheap products--is that true..

I have been using the nec 20WMGX2, and this thing is awesome!! Thanks for the help everyone. I only have 1 stuck pixel, which is directly in front of my eyes. But the pixel is so small and not noticeable unless looking for it.

I looked on here for the perfect settings and couldnt see anything. Any one know where to look? It looks great now though!!

Everyones perfect settings are different...

my best was

Brightness 17.9
Contrast 71
Sharpness 18

ADV off
DV mode Standard

i got the 20wmgx2 with 1 bad pixel. i can live with 1 and its totally a great monitor and worthwhile.

the LG is a TN , with far more washed out colors from what i've seen of the 22" modles out there (since they all use the chi mei panel).

I love this thing, and I am def. happy. I am running vista business and I wanted to know how do I record tv from this monitor? I looked through windows media player but dont see any options for that. Any ideas what software to use--pref. free?

you cant record tv using the monitor's tuner. that tuner, is just for the tv part and isnt connected to the computer at all.

another question, How the heck do use all my speakers at once. When whatching tv, only the lcd speakers work and not my other stuff. Is there a way, to have them all at once? I have to switch to the audio to tv..any suggestions?

NEC.

If money is no concern then stay as far away from TN panels as you can.

That's retarded, if money is no concern we'd be using custom $50,000+ insane displays. There is definitely a price/payoff point of concern. And for that matter, my 22" Viewsonic TN panel ($289) looks just as nice, albeit smaller, as my Dell 3007WFP.
