Ok, I was really stupid and did about 0 research when I bought the parts for my first gaming rig, and I stupidly purchased an ATI X300. I have overclocked the absolute ****** out of it and still can't get performance out of it (517/256) so I am going to be upgrading soon.

I am having trouble deciding between two cards though, the Radeon x850xt, or x1800GTO.

I would buy the X850Xt right now, but I ust noticed it only has pixel sader 2 support, is a real bad thing?

Thanks.

Get the GTO. It's based on the X1900 core, which means in the future it might be possible to unlock the disabled pipelines (currently programs aren't ready to do this yet). Also, it does have PS3 support, which may be important a few years down the road, when more developers support PS3 and drop support for PS1 and 2. The X850XT isn't a BAD card, it's just a little outdated. It still runs fairly well for the newest games. X1900GTO is just more future-proof.

I hope you meant x1800 core :)

I've read somewhere that you can flash it to x1800xl and get the 4 pipelines.
