Need help deciding on a new phone

So after dropping my beloved Blackberry 7105t I am phoneless and it's driving me crazy. My work said that they will pay for my phone service if I join on their plan and they use Verizon, I am currently a T-mobile customer. In either event I will be paying for the phone itself.

My work will pay for 1000 minutes and full data plan...which is basically what I have now through T-Mobile so that would be one less bill a month for me.

However it's all about the phone with me and there is where I need help.

The three new gadget I'll be getting for myself before December is a phone (of course), MP3 player and a Camera. I was thinking do I spend a few hundred dollars and get a phone that can do all three or do I go the cheap route on the phone and then pick up an ipod video/itouch and a camera?

For the phone the main feature I would use it for would be IM'ing and mobile blogging...oh and of course taking work emails and such...

I'm more limited for phone choice with Verizon, thus the problem.

Any and all insight would be appreciated.

wait until the 24th and get the Blackberry Storm. It's supposed to be awesome, place your pre-order early, as it supposed to sell out quickly. If it wasn't for the 19% corporate discount I get with AT&T I would not have switched from Verizon.

Here's the problem I have with the Storm...when is it going to be released? I've seen articles stating in one week, two weeks and others that say longer. I don't have a landline so I'm completely out of contact unless you catch me when I'm sitting down at my PC.

I've heard that they are taking pre-orders at Verizon stores. I saw an ad on TV last night for the Storm. They are having pre-release parties in cities. It has to be soon. I'd guess it will be out before Thanksgiving.

Try going into a Verizon store and seeing what they say. Maybe they can give you a cheap phone as a bridge phone or something.

If it's 1-2 weeks I could do it, the problem is that my work isn't able to reach me and that's where the problem lies (Oh and my family can't reach me either...oh the sweet sound of silence). And I keep reading conflicting release dates that keep getting pushed back.

It is supposed to be available next week on the 18th. With the economy as it is, I would expect it to be released soon in order to generate some sales for the 4th qtr.

It was originally supposed to be released on the 16th, but due to software and OS problems (which have now been solved) it's available to the public on the 24th. Verizon stores will be opening an hour early on the 24th and 25th as well.
