A good friend of mine has a birthday coming up in April and I want to get her something special. Let's make it clear though... NOT MY GIRLFRIEND. At one point we did have a little fling but it didn't really work out, but we're really good friends and she means a lot to me. I don't want this gift to seem like I'm still interested in her that way or something, but I want it to be something nice as she put a lot of thought into a gift for me.

I am so terrible at deciding gifts...I know her pretty well but my mind is just a total blank when I think of gifts. Any general ideas? She's turning 20.

Oh yeah, she's a hockey fanatic but I think she's got enough hockey stuff :)

thanks in advance :)

That's a really cool idea...I might be hard pressed to find a little thing to go on the necklace though. I'll look anyway! thanks

Look in sports card shops and at jewelers, both carry them and they range from inexpensive on up.

Thanks Tauren, I'll check that.

Uhh, thanks Viper.. :p ;)

Azraele, i dunno lots of stuff. She's really...hmm, down to earth and doesn't like typical girlie stuff I guess. Loves lots of music, but she's got that covered. She was a figure skater.... but yeah, she really, really loves hockey. She's studying to be a surgeon too... afraid I can't tell ya much else. Just looking for general ideas I guess.

I've taken her to a couple games before actually (I can get good seats for free). Lookin for something different :)

Well, If you want to get her something she can certainly use, buy a box of tampons for her(As an April fools joke of course).

If she is not seeing anybody else try just taking her out to dinner(as friends) and go paint the town red.
Or just get a group of friends together and go party. remeber It's not about what kind of presents you give, it's about knowing you're friends, and caring about each other(as friends).

In my circle of friends, presents are not expected or accepted. We just go out and party on b-day and the group will pick-up the birthday persons tab that night.
