Need help converting in/lbs to ft/lbs.

What is the correct conversion for in/lbs to ft/lbs?

I know I need to buy an in/lbs torque wrench.

Isn't it just divide by 12?

30 in/lb * 1 ft/12 in = 30/12 ft/lbs

I?m pretty sure it isn't just divide by 12, if I remember right from training that would be too much torque.

Evadman is correct, 12 inch pounds equals 1 foot pound.
