Thank you for your help!

My questions are:

1. Can this conversion be done.
2. Can I use only one SATA cable from the power supply with a molex splitter or do I need to use two SATA cables?

Could I connect a single SATA power cable to this adaptor

And then connect the two molex ends to this adaptor (a similar adaptor came with the video card).

And then plug that into the video card?

Or would I need two separate SATA to Molex adaptors like this to plug into the second adaptor?

A few years late but they appear to be available now:

Honestly why is it so hard to find? The molex connectors should be going the way of the Dodo. the SATA to molex to molex to 6 pin PCIE adapter chain seems like it would introduce a great deal of resistance for no reason.

Yes, Dell lack of molex was my reason for looking this up.
