I have an Asus P3V133 running a PIII 500 at 100fsb and just purchased a slocket and PIII 933 at 133fsb. I don't want to screw up anything i.e. jumpers. I'm not real sure what ones to change other than the fsb. I'm currently running Win Me. Radeon 7200, 384 mg pc 100 dram. Also, will I blow up the pc100 ram at 133 bus?

The ASUS P3V133, based on the VIA Apollo 133 (693...yuck), needs just the FSB jumpers changed in order to run the 133MHz FSB.

This board doesn't support asynchonrous RAM timings (since it's based on the older P2B PCB and not the newer P3B-F like the P3V4X), so you will have to run the RAM at 133MHz. As far as RAM goes, please read the FAQ: RAM Considerations.

You will need to update your BIOS in order for your system to run correctly.

The latest BIOS for the P3V133 is Version 1003 Beta 002.

Don't let the Beta Status put you off. The BIOS is stable. For boards which are discontinued, ASUS generally leaves any BIOS updates for these boards with the beta status.
