i currently own a tahiti 7870 myst edition and just recently bought two shimian 2560x1400 monitors. i was wondering which is the best way to connect both to my 7870.

here are the options that i seem to have

1) buy a mini dp to dual link dvi adapter for $80

2) buy a second video card (radeon 5450) for $30 to run the second one.

3) upgrade to a nvidia card (dont really want to)

im leaning towards option 2. is there any disadvantage to this? the second monitor is only used to watch movies / second display for adobe photoshop / lightroom. ive heard people having issues with mini dp adapters .

A 7870 with only a single DVI connector? Lame.

Oh well, what's done is done. I think of those options getting a 5450/6450 with a DVI port is a perfectly fine idea. It will work seamlessly in Windows, you just won't be able to play any intensive games on it.
