I thought it was the S64 series? Anyhow its for the warehouse clubs. Costco and maybe sams. I don't see it online. Might only be in stores. I think they come in multiple sizes.

Ooops yes, the S64 series. I never saw one personally, as I don't have a club membership and just decided to get the P50ST60 anyway.

But yes, that's just the series, the S64 should come in at least a few of these sizes: 50, 55, 60, 65.

Two things come in mind when dropping your cash on anything vizio 1) who made the panel, Tcon board these all suffer problems down the road of ownership as do their power supply's extend the warranty will only go so far.

2) Panasonic has made unlike vizio just piece together form various venders, Top notch plasma sets for years, sad to know that they will no longer play the game. my option the best panel on the market to date for the $.

Is the basic conclusion Plasma = dark environment, LED = daytime/bright environment?

Eyeballing a used Viera but my environment is fairly bright (partial sunlight, TV directly across from sliding glass door)

From AVS Forums;

But most professional reviewers and many AVS members maintain that plasma produces superior picture quality compared with LCD TVs, especially in rooms with subdued lighting. And this year's models perform better than ever—finally rising to the level of the fabled Pioneer Kuro—so now might be the perfect time to snag one of the best plasmas ever made and enjoy a stunningly good picture for years to come.

Unlike LCD TVs, plasmas are relatively simple, and they don't suffer from display-based motion blur, off-axis performance problems, or high black levels, all of which LCDs must counteract in some way.

If you have a light source directly behind you and the plasma in front of you, you'll need good black out curtains or not have a good experience. Typical day room situations are typically fine with modern plasma sets. If I were considering both, I'd order the plasma from a place with free returns. If the reflections end up too much, just return it and get the LCD. Its hard to give hard and fast rules as everyones lighting situation and tolerance differs.
