need help changing out of AOL to IE and outlook express

I have set up AOL ( actually walmart internet service that uses aol software) on my parents computer. But I hate the way AOL works. Is it possible to change it to operate using IE and Outlook express. I know nothing about AOL so any help would be appreciated. thanks.

You used to be able to use IE no problem with AOL, just run it and serf, but recently I've noticed that a few AOLers are having problems using it, AOL might have added something in their latest update to screw with it. As far as Outlook express goes, sadly, you cannot use it. AOL doesn't use normal POP3 servers like a normal ISP so you can't access them that way.
