need help cd drive not detected

i got a new custom computer, cant install windows XP because its on cd rom.
nothing wrong with cd drive because ive tested it and nothing wrong with wire either because both of them worked on the other computer.
The cd drive can still open and close, the computer just doesnt detect it.

please help!
 
Jumper settings. Make sure that if it shares the same ribbon cable that the HD is master and the cd rom is slave. If it is sata, make sure that the sata support is turned on in the bios. Check the pins, one pin might be bent.
