I did not see an option in the bios other than "removable". Someone please let me know if there is a way to boot from a USB 512mb drive with this motherboard (bootdisk). It was top of the line when i got it, and it seems to have a lot of bells and whistles, so I am assuming it should be there.

I think i have the most current BIOS. Please if anyone has this board or if anyone can help me ID GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!

Thanks in ADVANCE!

Plug the drive in, power up, and press F8 for the boot menu. It should show in the BIOS if you have it plugged in.

yep zoinks is right. press f8 when you start the computer and the bios shows up. it should say "boot selection popup menu" or whatever.

when i go into the bios and i check the boot order, the closest thing i see is "removable disk" which i always had first anyway, then CDROM, then harddisk. There is nothing that I can find that says USB.

Do you guys know if the A8N SLI Deluxe definately boots from USB pen drives, or are you assuming it does.

If you "know" it does, i will definately keep looking. I find it hard to believe that it cannot.

I know I have a valid bootdisk on my USB drive because I can successfully boot with it from a friends PC.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm sure. I'm speaking from experience on my own A8N SLI Deluxe.

I'm not sure what to tell you next.
