Is DPL II the same as 5.1... or do I need to add a second 5.1 track specifically (Handbrake.)

DPL II is just a 2-channel track that uses some technical tricks to mimic true 5.1 sound. It is generally low bitrate and only really useful if you have a system that supports it but haven't got the system in place for real 5.1 or 7.1 audio. It is certainly NOT a replacement. I use it as the first audio track on most of my rips just for compatibility purposes but always passthrough a second, true, multi-channel audio track.

Because all I have right now is pure analog 2.0 system (through an old Denon amp via mini-plug, no less...) and I didn't know enough when I started ripping video to actually run a second 5.1 track... for the future. :(
