Search Google and the sites of major semiconductor manufacturers for "power factor correction" and/or "PFC." You may find products, application notes or even a single chip solution. 🙂

Afraid not. Just a first year student struggling in class. Missed the first few weeks tonsilitis so playing catch up ever since.

I'm not sure how homework requests are handled on this forum but I'd suggest that:

a) If you missed a large number of classes due to tonsillitis, and
b) You're having great difficulty in catching up with the coursework,

Then:

i) Ask your professor for extensions/revised due dates (proving your medical condition with a doctor's note) or
ii) Drop the class. GPA is king, and since you appear to be a first year student I'd suggest dropping the class and taking it in the summer.

Even if someone here helps you out, you're not going to understand the material in the way you need to, in order to do well in this course. Otherwise, you could just ask your Professor for your class notes, what about the textbook? Surely you weren't just tossed a design project with no introductory material at all?

In other words: You can get the help you need by helping yourself. Good luck.
