Need Help ASAP

hi all, i got a question, i bought a custom made PC and tried to assemble it myself, but now i'm kind of stuck. when i turn on my PC it says that "floppy disk(s) fail (40)" and "CMOS chksum error - defaul loaded."

but i got no floppy and no OS. i just want to install the OS. so is there anything i could do or why this message is showing up? thanks

Hit whatever button takes you to the BIOS and from here it's more specific to the BIOS made by the company for that board. What you're looking to disable is a 1.44inch drive, or floppy, whatever the BIOS states it as, if you can't find that then just look for the option that determines what errors the BIOS will halt the boot-up on and change it to something acceptable to you.

sorry...., i dont understand. eehhehehe... i use a cordless keyboard and tried to press F1 or delete but none worked. and i inserted my OS disk but it does not want to boot. T_T

Use a lower wattage video card to get it working fist. Use a ps/2 mouse/keyboard which would avoid the USB problems I've seen in the past. Get into the bios to set the memory settings correctly first. I think the most common issue I've seen is the memory settings not right and the pc just has a hell of a time booting up.
