Need Help ASAP

Ok people, my long search for a laptop has come to an end, I think. I'm on a budget, only have about $550 to spend, MAX. Anyway, the cheapest lappy's that I have found are starting at $699, which is out of my budget, but I cant do much about it. Anyway, I think I am going with the Gateway 360 Notebook, Model: 6020GZ. Ya it has the Celeron M but I was at Best Buy yesterday and I was surprised by it. Its thin, sleek, not as slow as I thought, nice bright screen, and since I am not a computer buff, in all honesty, I couldnt tell the difference between this Celeron M and the P4 notebooks. Well, I just want all over your opinions, PLEASE TELL ME GATEWAY IS GOOD?!?!?! Help a poor college student out here, I need one soon!!!

Look in the store flyers near your house. There is a $499 AR laptop every week. Acer 3002 cli I believe is at that pricepoint occasionally.

I actually saw that yesterday, I looked at it was wasnt very pleased. It didnt have the bright dislpay, it was bulky, and it looked like a huge piece of plastic. On the other hand, the Gateway was thin, had a nice look to it, and I loved the display.

Gateway is okay, but don't expect much from support and personally I wouldn't take it everywhere & bang it around much 😛 If you buy it @ BBY, warranties are your friend. With their service plan, if they can't repair the notebook or if it has to be repaired 4 times they replace it outright with a new machine
