Need Help ASAP with FPD2275W Monitor!

I just boguht this monitor and im experiencing something strange. I had my dekstop set to black to test for black light bleeding and while it was i was foolin around with the mouse and i noticed something. When i click and drag a box and move it rapidly i see the lines seperate and they are like a purplish and greenish color. Is this what people mean by color banding or vertical banding. If it is i feel this is a sever case i can see the lines like an inch away from the mouse. I need help quick as tommorow is last day i can return it for full refund. Thanks.

On a side note i have connected through DVI. Its connected to a pretty crappy computer with a 9600pro (all latest drivers installed). I will be bringing this monitor ( or a new one if i return it) back to school which i have a very good computer there. So if these seems computer/video card related please let me know that. But i have a bad feeling its the monitor. Thanks again.

here is a picture of the problem. I took this picture with my cellphone. In the picture i am dragging the box up/down rapidly...its very noticeable.

banding is static issue, when colors don't have smooth transition in a gradient image.

I would return.exchange it, that looks bad, i haven't ever seen anything like it and I had plenty LCDs.

Somthing is seriously wrong with that moniter ... you could try switching over to the VGA connection & see if that corrects the problem, but if it were me I'd just return it
