Need help arranging my speakers

I have the Logitech z560's with a SB Gamer Audigy. How should I arrange my system for optimal surround sound? Check out the diagram of my room. The satellites will be wall mounted. I want to know how far I should be putting each satellite (S = satellite speaker) from the desk and from each other. I pretty much need figures for the question marks in the diagram. Any other suggestions?

For the distance between the two walls, how could this be changed? Can your walls move? Not sure about the other placement.

If they're gonna be wall mounted then that distance is pretty much fixed. I always put my surrounds a little farther apart than my mains. I would just make each one a foot or two wider than the mains are. If you could, I would put more space between the mains - at least 6 feet, then space the surrounds accordingly.

Let me be specific....I want to wall mount them, BUT there is such a thing as satellite stands. I also want to know how far I can put my front speakers from my rear speakers without sacrificing sound performance.

Ohhhh...now I understand. I think you'll be fine wall mounting them. 12 feet isn't too far. The important thing will be to adjust the levels of each speaker appropriately so everything is balanced. I still recommend moving the mains farther apart - it will help a lot with the stereo separation.
