Ok.

Nearly complete system build with xp home, soyo K7VME km400 mobo.

All dirvers were loaded fine.
At the last minute I decide to ghost the hard drive onto a larger one for more capacity.

I stuck in the ghost diskette and double clicked on the file icon ( mistake ) It returned the message that the program would not run from windows NT. and that it should be run from dos after reboot.

Ok. I reboot.

The video feed to a mag 14 " flat panel comes up at 640x480 4bit !! and would not respond to changes under the adapter tab within the display control. You can enter the change but when the system asks for reboot and completes the reboot it still comes up at 640x480 4bit. I have tried unstalling the driver and reinstalling from the motherboard cd - no effect. I have tried letting windows detect and install a driver after deleting the video card under the hardware list( It says that the current video driver is the best one available and does not give you the option to change it - no effect.

Any suggestios would be appreciated.

I'm assuming it's a pretty clean system to begin with, with Windows XP Home and little else on it? If so, the least troublesome thing to do would be to reinstall windows. As long as you're starting fresh with a new PC, it's better to take the hit now and reinstall, than to have a potentially unstable configuration come back and kick you down the line.
