Need Help-AMD/Digicom Combo

I am having lock-up problems with my Compaq # 5888. I have been told that there may be a stability problem with the Digicom board. Has any one else had any problems with this board.
I am new at this, so I don't know a lot of tech stuff, but I'm trying to learn, and I am determined to find a fix for my problem.
I do all the normal maintance weekly, and I'm running this at 94% resources.
I've even had it lock up while I was doing a restore from the disks. I'm haveing to restore it on an average of once every 3 to 4 weeks.
I'd apprechiate any help.
