it's for athlon 1.4ghz socketA if that helps at all..
thx in advance--i've tried to do a search on this forum-there are no conclusive recomendation--i dont need extreme cooling like peltier or water pump--just looking the best conventional performance cooler i can buy on the market and place where i can buy 'em from.

 
I'm with junior77. I just bought a swiftech from inflowdirect for the same price. I'm not overclocking either but I got it figuring that I won't have to buy another HSF until I'm ready to go beyond 2 Ghz with a processor, which shouldn't be for another year at least. My view on it is investment and insurance.
