Typical setup, hold headset is dying and I need a new one. Great sound quality is a must, surround sound if possible but not a major deciding factor. Mic quality should be pretty good but I never hear myself so whatever. Input needs to be either dual 3.5mm jack or usb. Id like these to last more than 6 months but lets face it, headsets break easily.

Any help would be great.

I use these, they don't need an amp and it's the best mic I've ever used

Very Expensive, you should probably use a headphone amp for it

I already have a Sennheiser HD 595 and HD 650 for my audio engineering... love the quality but was hoping not to spend $150 on a set of headphones Ill have to replace is 6 months :|

The ones you recommended are all either too expensive for what I need or dont have good sound quality (PC30). Id prefer something in the middle around $50ish but I can go either way if they are really good.

you can just get a zalman zm-mc1 clip on mic for your HD 595 or HD 650, which will better than those gaming headsets

I'd say the Sennheiser 161s that Videogames101 linked would be just what you're after. I just got a pair and they seem really nice for the money.

I got mine here : PC 161

well if you are looking for around $50, then Koss SB-45 should be great for that price level (it's around 30ish, plus it got lifetime warranty)
