Help.... I have an IBM Travelstar hdd mdl. djsa220 laptop drive out of a Dell. The Dell was allergic to the beer dumped on the keyboard. The idea here was to connect the laptop drive using a 44 pin laptop to ide adapter to my desktop machine. But no,the adapters available were different. The IBM Travelstar drive plugs in to the laptop with a flat connector, akin to a pci card. This won't work. Does anyone know if an adapter like this is available? This company laptop cannot be turned in for service YET if you know what I mean. Pls help if you can. Thanks.

If it's a company machine, try to "borrow" or use another one just like the one you have if possible.
What do you want to hook it up to the PC for? Is it so that you can get the info off of the machine? If so, I would hook it up to another laptop, download the info to a PC via a network connection and then go from there. Best of luck!

Heh Don't be drinking your refreshing beverage so close to the company hardware, it could become hazzardous to your work habit (ie. daily vs. not at all).
