Need guidance to Online Fax Services

I read they exist and google returns a few hits - anyone has experience with them?

I only need to send and receive a fax once or twice per month so decided to get rid of that fax machine.

Anything to be aware of when shopping for this service? Any good recession-friendly(aka free) service to be recommended?
 
I recently had to find my own fax services, and since I only fax 6-8 times per year I wasn't interested in the many monthly subscription services available. So, I found faxzero (free to send, with limitations and ads on coverpage), then registered a free account with efax (free to receive, some nagging to upgrade, proprietary software needed to read faxes). I tested the setup and was able to send myself a fax just fine, ads are minimal (actually weren't any), and the quality was also fine.

So, if there are similar free services in UK, don't hesitate to use them (but do test them first to avoid potential embarrassment).
 
thanks a lot, will test these, maybe they'll work in Europe, I do not mind if they are sent via a US-based server anyway.
