an xbox 360 used an x1900 based gpu. Fairly paltry by todays standards. However, it is not that simple because I'm sure an xbox 360 will run new games better than an x1900 due to major optimizations towards the console.

since you are gonna upgrade the PSU, your options are nearly limitless.

Since it appears as though you don't care to need the latest and greatest I suggest one of the following

if DX 11 isn't important

HD4870 1 gig can be had at an incredible value these days
9800 GTX can be had dirt cheap too.


if DX 11 is important then

hd 5770 or a gtx 460(which is way more expensive than any other card i listed, worth it if you want the performance though)

4870 for $105 at the EGG is awesome bang for the buck.

Of course GTX460 1GB is better but it costs $120 more.
