Need GPS software for laptop

I find using a laptop in the car to house my music, and also to have GPS is very useful. What is the best GPS software out there?

I use microshaft streets & trips 2007 currently and have no problem buying the new 2013 version, but wanted some opinions before I do.

I've played around with Navit(not seriously used), and liked what I've seen. It's libre software, and it works. Perhaps not as well as S&T which I've used in the past, but well enough, and it's cross platform.
