I might be in the market for some new games. CS, HL, and Homeworld are getting a bit old. 🙂

I've tried an F-22 Lightning flight sim demo already; darned if I can remember the company now...
It uses D3D hardware for rendering, not the crappy 2d rendering that a lot of flight sims I've tried use - makes them look like Duke Nukem 3D from way back when.
Looking for something that does use good 3d rendering; multiple weapons, including bombs (nukes a plus😀), missiles, etc. Joystick/keyboard controls - doesn't really matter. I'm looking for a jet fighter plane sim - not one of them with old planes, and not one where you pilot a 747 across an ocean...

Also looking for something to eventually replace CS. I'd like something with the same general gameplay type - 2 teams with different objectives.

Single player games: games like HL are nice - first-person things like that.
 
Replacement for CS you say. Try Return to Castle Wolfenstein. It has a good single player game and an outstanding MP game. The MP game is 2 teams trying to complete and/or defend objectives or check point (capture the flag).

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is my latest reason to stay up till 4am every night.
If you haven't played it, it's similar to CS but slower paced. And it's a lot of fun playing single-player too. Kind of like a WWII version of Rogue Spear with better graphics.
Does anyone know if there is a map pack planned for MOHAA or if it's possible to create your own maps? I'm starting to get tired of playing the same maps over and over online. That's what I love about Quake 2 and 3, every time I play, I can find a map I've never seen before.
 
of my 3 latest games, I'd rate them:

Jedi Knight II - 3/5
Dungeon Siege - 3.5/5 (lower than I initially thought, for some reason it just isn't great)
High Heat Baseball 2003 - 1/5 (the 2001 version was way better)

so if you're considering any of those 3, I'd wait till JK2 or DS are under 30 bucks, and don't pay more than the cost of a toothpick for HH2K3.
 
DAoC = Dark Age of Camelot, a Massively Multiplayer Online RPG (it's third person and it's alot of hack and slash). and the monthly fee is something around $12.95/month or lower if you get the package deals (more months for a certain price).

EQ = Everquest - also an mmorpg, which i've never tried.

Morrowind looks goooood... and Icewind Dale 2. Hehe!

AND I'm waiting for UT2... and Quake 4... mmmm... 😛
