Need FTP Program

Been Using SmartFTP. I am transferring a site from one host to another and I'll be 80 years old before SmartFTP grabs all the files.

Is this program just slow or what?

How about something like WS FTP, any faster? I'd pay the $40 for something quicker.

I havw WSFTP PRO . very good program .. however, it is not always your ftp program
that is the botteneck. It could easily be your internet line or router or the computer it
is being downloaded from.

I am downloading 121 MB. I started at 0800 and it's now 1500. 7 hours and it's not done yet.

Also, Free Download Manager easily downloads entire websites lightning fast.

Are you sure it's not just a bandwidth limitation? I've used FileZilla for FTP before, it's free and works fine, no idea if it would be faster or not. If you have ssh access, rsync could conceivably be faster.

anyways, i always liked filezilla. much more than smartftp.
