Wtf, i just installed it, expecting Amazing graphics. I got crap

I changed all the stuff to highest, and res to 19x12 doesn't support 25x16 apparently.

Played it,, looks like NFS before Geforce 6 series

I thought maybe I messed up the settings,, Behold, I did, didn't change the "World Settings"

Turned it on..

STILL looks like poo. WTF. I'm taking this game back.

You can't return games. Should've done some research before you wasted your money on crap.

Besides a few stuttering issues the graphics look just as good as many of the modern racing games today. Game play on the other hand is a totally different issue.

Yea you can. I just did. all you do is make a scene, I know alot of people have trouble with this because they're concious of the fact that they might meet the sales rep some where in a restaurant and be judged LOL.

Ok, props to the Car models, they looked pretty cool, but the world just looked "crummy", It felt like almost Real cars, on CGI road. that takes all the immersion out of it.

Also I felt like they put all their time into the flashy transition graffiti menu. LOL

I use to love the NFS games, up until Hot Pursuit 2. They went downhill with all the "build-a-ricer" games, I played those but didn't like them, then I bought and beat Most Wanted 3 years ago. It was decent. Haven't really touched Carbon or Pro Street.

i really hate to play this card, but if you look anything like your avatar, you can cause a huge scene and have things your way most of the time ;)

is pro street worth it if it's only $10? i didn't like underground and despite the fact that i don't like "rice" i still found most wanted to be moderately entertaining. i haven't played carbon, either.

I wouldn't waste money on it. I borrowed it from a buddy, and gave it back after like the 3rd "meet". Basiclly all you do is go from track meet to track meet, race, build your cars, and do it all over again. No open world racing or anything. I did like how the cars were super tunable (engine, tranny, suspension etc) and not just shitty sliders from the last couple of games, but it wasn't enough to keep me going. Hopefully Underground will be a return to the Most Wanted roots, with the tuning aspects of U2/Pro Street.

Yo, watch yo self, those sliders MADE the previous games, too real, and it becomes work.

Tuning in ProStreet was anything but real. Instead of a slider, they had a list of parts you could purchase, from Tier 1 to Tier 4...so effectively it was a slider, but you got different options within the tiers so it felt like you were awesomely custom in your build. Most of the performance tuning came from the aerodynamics and a bit from the specific part tuning. The wind tunnel is pretty cool.

Also, I really enjoyed ProStreet. Much more than Carbon. Carbon was way too fake and the god damned cop chases pissed me off. I play racing games because I want to race...not run away from impossible cars that never die. If I wanted that, I'd play Vice City or something like that.

Did you have trouble hitting the pursuit breakers? That took me a while to figure out, but once I did the cop chases were so easy to contend with

This stupid game has a stuttering issue that never allowed me to play it. I tried on different configurations, cpus, gpus , ATI cards, Nvidia cards and it doesn't work. It just stutters like crazy, no matter the in game settings, even though fraps is showing solid frame rates all the time.

There are quite a few NFS games out there, like Most Wanted for example, that had some problems, but this one is just so fu**** up. Electronic Arts hit the bottom with this game , in terms of poor optimization.

I love need for speed, all games, except for Pro Street, what a POS!

I think I actually melted the game box with disc and all...

Can't wait for NFS Undercover though!

Most wanted was, IMO, the last decent NFS game. I got carbon years ago, installed it, hated the menu system and the drift game, shelved it. Bought Pro-street, installed it, played a few races, lame, shelved it. I have hope for the next one. I believe they are going to a more back-to-basics NFS game next time. I wish they would do another Hot Pursuit NFS instead of mashing it all together. HP2 was awesome. Still play it to this day.

Most Wanted was outstanding. I had a lot of fun with that game, despite the engine's frame skipping that someone mentioned earlier.

I never bothered with the two newer games since most people said they weren't nearly as good.
