Need Firmware: Samsung SP1203N Hard Drive

Can someone dump their firmware and send it to me? OR point me in the direction of the firmware for this drive.



FYI: Why do I need it.. I locked the drive and cannot unlock it. I want to test and see if re-flashing it will unlock it.

Thanks.. I actually tried that a week ago. It said my drive was not a supported model when trying to flash. 🙁 VERY odd.. I am going to try it a few more times though. Thats the site / thread that got me to thinking that the flashing might unlock it. Very good info there and on the thread that is linked on that page.
 
Outside of that it's gonna be tough as hard drive makers purposely (for whatever reason) refuse to hand out firmware upgrades. For example, my Raptor is like four firmware updates behind but you'll never see WD making the updates available.
 
MY GUESS is that I have found why..

The password is stored in the firware and if you flash the drive the password is GONE. EVERYTHING I have seen says that the password is in firmware. I just wish the "downgrade" on that site above worked for me.

Now,
I think that with the flashing tool you could backup your current bios. If thats the case, then I just need a fellow to backup his firmware and share the love. 😉
