got RH 7.2 and apache 1.3.26.
I need a search engine that can do the following;
1. search via local file system, i.e. /home/httpd and its subdirectories (this is incase somethings are bronken from the link structure, and it will take some time to integrate all documents)
2. search without being caps sensitive
3. search with partial string, i.e. searching for bdr finds area1bdr7500
4. prefer something not requiring a true database engine, i.e. mysql, etc.., running as a service (I know close to *nothing* about databases). My site isn't going to be that big, just about 300-500 pages at peak growth.
5. gnu, free.
Thanks for any input you linux/apache experts may have.
p.s. If anyone knows of a great linux forum to go to, I would be pleased to go there.
