Well I am a CA T-Mobile customer who just signed up, and after being assured by a sales rep they could send me an Ericsson T68 for the phone order, and then talking to another when I signed up that I could get one in the coming week or two, I signed up anyway. Now, calling back for more info on it when he said I got the runaround and the manager had no idea when it would be available. They wouldn't send me one from the New York market or anything.

My plea to fellow Voicestream ATers: See how much an 'upgrade' to a T68 would cost you (for NY, IL etc. folk), and then maybe we can work out a way for me to buy that phone off you. Thanks! :)

EDIT: Alternatively if you would like to sign up in an area that offers the T68 you could get that phone and I could pay you for it and send you a Nokia 3390.

I'm a current VoiceStream Wireless customer here in Portland, Oregon but unfortunately I've already upgraded so I can't help you out. They only allow one upgrade (at the sale price) per phone number.

Wow the T68's are going for a lot on eBay.

I would help but i upgraded my phone less than a month ago... I highly doubt they would give me a deal on another one so soon... :(

Ah yes my ferengi friend... I did see this post, but unfortunately I'm not too jazzed about ATT right now, Cingular's 2 year contracts can blow me, and unfortunately the people talking about Voicestream there are only NewYork, Chicago, and Seattle I think. None of the CA people found a way to get the phone. :(

Their service will be about the same as AT&T and Cingular since they're all on the same towers. Outages and business will be different since it's a diff network though.

Someone help an AT brotha out!

Yeah, especially since the damn T-Mobile rep told me that I could get it for $299 - $100 MIR. :|
