Need fast and reliable overnight shipping service. Recommendations?

I'm a little late in applying for a student visa for study abroad. What is the best service for me to reliably overnight my visa paperwork and passport to a consulate in D.C. and include a prepaid overnight package for them to send it back to me? I have to be able to certify and track the mailings. Any suggestions?

The reason why I'm asking is because I was supposedly overnighted 2 things by DHL and they've managed to either delay or lose the package. How does the USPS compare to Fedex/ups?

DHL will sometimes reroute your package through the USPS.

UPS, USPS, FedEx. All are probably equally as good for overnight.

However I am sure we can all agree DHL is NOT the way to go.
