Hi guys how are you?

First of all happy new year for everyone, wish all the best

So i need to replace my H110 fans, as you know it uses 140mm fans and the stock ones are not working well anymore and i want something better, something that can provide me better performance

I really don`t know very much about this but here now the fan speed increase and decrease automatically, is this the PWM function? If yes will i need to change to another PWM fans? I don`t care to leave the fans at max all time but how should i do that if it not have PWM?

My Motherboard is the GA-Z87X-OC Force and the case is the Cosmos 2, the huge one

So what would you recommend for me?

Just a note here, i`m from Brazil and here is very dificulty to find high end fans and some other stuffs, but the guys at Performance Pcs ( http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index ) always send what i need if they have, so if the fans you will say me to buy have in the website will be better

So that`s it

Thanks

Scythe Kaze Maru 2 140mm PWM $19 650-1700 RPM

Not sure if it will give you any better performance, probably not significantly. But it's PWM. I would not get non-PWM fans for a CPU heatsink myself unless they were very low RPM.. there's just no point having noisy fans when the CPU is idling.

The only other 140mm PWM fans I could find from performance-pcs are were from Akasa and GELID but I think Scythe is better.

The Scythe one so is a good choice right?

The only thing that i saw in the listing and i don`t know if it will work here is this line:

Note: This fan has a 140mm blade but the mounting holes DO NOT support 140mm standard spacing, support only available for 120mm fan spacing.

With the H110 radiator will i have some problem because of this?

Thanks again man

Ah you're right, the fans need to be attached through mounting holes spaced for a 140mm frame. The Scythes won't work :(. Which narrows down your choices to Akasa or GELID if you want PWM. They're both rather average fans, they do the job but aren't in any way exceptional. Their PWM range isn't as wide as Scythe's, with lower max RPM and similar min RPM.

You told about the acasa one`s

This model: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36_316_850&products_id=32169

I can find easy in Brazil for about 12$ each, so it will be much easier for me to take, what do you think about this one? Worth a try or you have a better suggestion?

Thanks again man

What else do you have available in Brazil?

Do you have Noctua A14 PWM available anywhere? If not, go with Akasa.

Hard to tell, here we don`t have stores that sells just this kind of fans

One that i`m sure we have here is the Corsair AF140 PWM, and some others, that`s why i ask, here we do not have a lot of local options, this Viper a guy told me that is a good choice at another forum and i found here in Brazil at many stores, that`s why i asked :)

But not only because i have it here in Brazil i would buy, i wanna the best for what i`m looking for

Thanks again man

Edit: i found a store here that have this Noctua but it`s out of stock :( and the price is almost 35$ each one, the Akasa is 12$, worth the difference?

Thanks

Yeah I think if you want best for 140mm PWM it's go Noctua or go home ;)

I`ll try to contact the store and ask when they will receive this Noctua

If you say that even with the double the price compared with the Akasa one worth the money i can wait they get at stock again

Thanks

Well I dont know if Noctua is twice as good, but it's definitely better. If money is no object (which seems the case, given your Cosmos 2), then go Noctua for sure.

Forgot about Phanteks entirely. That's almost the same fan as the Phanteks F140HP reviewed by SilentPCReview, just with PWM and 140mm mounting frame. SPCR liked the noise profile, claiming it was better than Noctua, so I would expect the same from the PWM fan you linked. Good pick as long as you're OK with "only" having up to 1200 RPM max speed. It's going to make noise even at that speed, but the regular Corsair fans have can do up to 1500 RPM, so you won't see any improvement in temperatures.
