need fan advice

alright I have a p180 case, ambience: 78f

cpu - 30c idle
system - 34c
gpu - 44

now... im using top as intake
rear as exhaust
with stock fan:

I'd like to get better fans, that moves more air, NOISE ISNT AN ISSUE.
also, I'd like to add a front fan for intake.. but it needs to be smaller than 120x25 but still be it 120x??
if you need pics of my case and the cable management, let me know.

You need advice on quality fans that push lots of air with no consideration for noise? Blease post those pics.

If noise is no issue, then the Vantec Tornados are for you.


I don't know of any fans that are thinner than 25mm.



Btw, you should consider switching the top fan to exhaust, you could get rid of a lot of hot air.

stock are naturally both exhaust.. but i read alot of posts and tested myself.. top as intake and rear as exhuast = better for me.

The Zalman 80mm slim fan is 80 (L) X 80 (W) X15 (H) mm

I have one in my case....it is so quiet even at high rpm!!

You do know that CPU's can push 55-60C perfectly fine. Throttling begins only at 75C and above. I am just saying that noise should factor in.

I would get a Yate Loon D12SM-12.

Bigger Brother to the Nexus/Yate-loon D12SL-12 (the super-quiet one).

Lets see you want lots of CFM but low DBA???
In actuality that won`t happen....

Yet I am using 2-120 mm coolermaster LED Fans as my intake and exhuast.....
Since the front of my case only allows for 2-80mm fans I used one Collermaster 120mm and connected it with zip ties!!

The fan in my XP120 is a Thermaltake Smart fan...38.6--93.7 cfm...
noise..17 dba at 1300 rpm.....46.5dba at 2800rpm.....

When I am gaming I have that sucker cranked all the way....
when idle it is set to its lowest and is also very quiet...
YES the spec`s are accurate!!

I also use a Zalman MFC1 to control all the fans in my case..including CPU and Vid card fans!!

Jedi, i didnt say I want more air for less noise...
i want more air.. wether it is noisy as hell or not....

Overkill:
I have a air purifyer on constantly which is LOUD but actually works for what it suppose to do!
Also, I have a mini fan in my room to keep my room cool and its noisy...
oh yeah, tv in my room constantly on.. so noise isnt an issue and i doubt it wil be loud compared to those 3 items that i have adjusted to.
(although I do feel kinda deaf at times lol.. but than again, i play loud music as well and at my friends rehearsals, sitting next to the speakers.. the unofficial roadie techie....)

You may want to check out this Thermaltake fan. It allows you to choose between constantly running it on max speed and RPM control (either temp or manual), with its peak CFM rated above 90.

This seems like a good alternative, with 78CFM and still decent noise.

Most Thermaltake fans by themselves are very loud.......
That fan has the same noise specs as my thermaltake 120mm smart fan!
I can tell you at max rpm that sucvker is very loud!!
Using a fan speed controller is a must!!
I like the controller that comes with that fan.
Only it fits in the back taking up a PCI slots rear panel.
