Need external, self-functional, VGA capture device

I have to set up some training manuals for software installers, and part of this involves working with a product that I have no access to the OS for. So I need some sort of inline, external, non-software dependent, device that I can stick into the VGA path and push a button to snap a screenshot, then dump into my PC later for documentation purposes.

I really have no clue what to even google for -- external screen capture isn't getting me anywhere.

Suggestions, thoughts, and even search term suggestions, appreciated. I know these things exist...
